Breakout Adapters - SMPTE
Convert a SMPTE 311m hybrid fiber cable to conventional single mode ST, LC or opticalCON DUO cable with the HYDAP series of robust in-line adapters. Converting SMPTE hybrid cables to conventional fiber cables avoids the cost of additional cables and increases the distance for reliable camera connections. Designed for harsh environments, such as sports broadcasting and stadiums, HYDAP breakout adapters feature a durable aluminum housing and recessed fiber connectors to prevent damage.
Note: HYDAPS are passive SMPTE fiber breakout boxes that allow for simple integration using riser rated duplex cables. Some camera/CCU setups may require continuity between the copper conductors found within a SMPTE fiber connector to remain intact. For such scenarios, models are also available with optional power tap to interface with camera CCU: 5-Pin, 6-Pin or 8-Pin AMP CPC connector or male or female XLR wired to the copper conductors of the SMPTE hybrid connector. Breakout Cables - ARIB
SMPTE internal hybrid distribution breakout cables with Canare FC connector and duplex fiber optic and 6-pin AMP breakouts are designed for use in rack panels, splice trays, adapters, and wall boxes. This SMPTE fiber breakout cable integrates power line for TV camera, control line, and fiber optics for video and audio transmission.
The cable consists of two single mode fibers, four 20 AWG and two 24 AWG tinned copper conductors surrounding a steel strength element, with an overall tinned copper braid and a flexible PVC blend jacket. Designed for use with HDTV signals, this SMPTE fiber camera cable is compliant with ARIB and SMPTE standards.
Available with ST, SC, or LC connectors with power and in a variety of lengths.
Breakout Cables - External
Inline SMPTE hybrid breakout cable series with LEMO connectors to duplex SC, ST, and LC fiber optic breakouts are used in rack panels, splice trays, adapters, and wall boxes. Available models include 8 power options or no power option. Designed for use with HDTV signals, the camera cable is compliant with ARIB and SMPTE standards.

Breakout Cables - Internal
Internal Breakout Cables are built with LEMO SMPTE connectors to duplex SC, ST or LC fiber optic breakouts. Designed for panel mounting in blank panels or as replacements in hybrid devices.
Available models include Fixed Plug (FXW) or Fixed Socket (EDW) and 8 power options or no power option. Designed for use in SMPTE rack panels, splice trays, adapters and wall boxes. This SMPTE fiber cable series is UPC machine polished to meet SMPTE 304mM/311M standards.
Cables – Canare SMPTE 311M/304M
Hybrid SMPTE fiber cable assemblies feature Canare 9.2mm SMPTE cable, Canare HFO SMPTE connectors, and a tear resistant polyurethane jacket. The lightweight and flexible cables are designed with a heavy duty, abrasion-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane jacket with a minimal bend radius of 9.2mm for outside broadcasts in harsh environments. Each LEMO compatible Canare HFO SMPTE fiber connector is constructed with a detachable alignment sleeve and insulator.
All assemblies are multi-stage machine polished and tested for <.55db RL.

Camera Cable Jumpers
Lightweight and flexible HF-STEADICAM jumpers are designed for use with portable camera stabilizers, such as the Steadicam, and camera jibs to provide unrestricted movement without the weight. The steel strength member has been removed from the cable for increased flexibility and ease of use. With thin Mohawk 4.2mm SMPTE cable and durable LEMO FUW/PUW connectors, the HF-STEADICAM is a reliable short distance interface between the camera and a standard SMPTE cable for signal transmission.
CHECK camera and Steadicam platform type to determine power cable requirements before ordering. Camplex HF-STEADICAM SMPTE jumpers are designed to operate with local power. These assemblies use lighter AWG power conductors and may not be suitable for applications where the power is provided by the CCU.
